Instructed by POLYGREEN Ltd as Salvage Consultant/Naval Architect on the wreck removal of the MV TRESTA STAR, a bunker vessel which grounded on a remote volcanic shoreline along the southeast coast of Réunion Island during tropical storm Batsirai. Reed Maritime assisted with the operational planning and engineering for the fuel removal and advised all stakeholders that the circumstances of the wreck made it unlikely that the wreck would ever be removed. The LOF/SCOPIC contract was terminated after owners refused to post security. (February 2022)
