Instructed by Titan Salvage as Salvage Master to assist with a tween deck fire onboard the ro-ro MV GREY SHARK. The vessel was boarded while anchored in Gravesend Bay outside of New York Harbor. The salvage team included a 5-man firefighting team from Industrial Emergency Services, LLC. A decision was made in consultation with the US Coast Guard and Fire Department New York (FDNY) to take the vessel to Stapleton Homeport Pier. Once alongside the salvage team worked with the FDNY to extinguish the fire. (March 2015)
